assignment one: photographic alphabet

Photographing all the letters was a challenge with in the shortened time of a class period. Trying to keep track of the duplicate letters while figuring out what letter we still needed was also difficult. Being limited in the distance we were able to go left a lot of duplicates and finding all the needed letters. But, overall I think finding the letters was a cool assignment because it required you to actually look around to see what made different letters. I chose the word jocose which means humorous. I find myself to be pretty funny in a different way, but wanted to use the photos of the letters I really liked which is why I chose jocose. If I were to change anything about this assignment it would be the time taken to walk to and from places while still looking for pictures because I would have been able to get a lot further rather than stopping for Tristan to take pictures every second of hundreds of fish.
assignment two:
photo journalism

My story is the spunky life of good ol' Tristan Stenseth. While taking this photoshoot I thought it would be a good idea to showcase Tristan in his best moments. For example, him braking his ankles while dancing, or him being dramatic while taking a sip of the gross tasting drink he said, or even him cracking a joke and laughing at himself. This part of Tristan shows the fun and the goofball side of him which everyone needs a little bit of in their life. When you're having a bad day Tristan can clear it up within minutes to think of something to say. Having some fun spunky people in your life makes things a little brighter and a little better at any moment in time. The importance of this person is crucial to have in life so that way you never have a dull moment. That is why I decided to showcase Tristan to tell the story.
assignment three:
photo challenge one (red)

This was the first assignment to start the Corona Cation that we have grown in to. Never in a million years would I have ever thought in a million years that I would ever experience something like this. At the being of this, I was so down about missing all of the big SENIOR events that we had waited for. As time had gone on I grew to appreciate these little photo challenges we did. It gave a chance for me to look at the small things while getting out of my house and outside.
assignment four:
illumination

Out of all photoshoots I have ever done, photographing lights has always been my favorite. Well, expect when it comes to trying to focus on the light and it isn't doing what you want it to. My favorite photo during this photoshoot was the picture of my sister with the circles of lights on her face from a strainer. It was funny because right after this photo shoot in one of the videos we watched they said to use a strainer as a tool. One thing I found difficult throughout this shoot was trying to figure out how to position myself and the light to make an appropriate photo with the sun or the artificial light to be in focus or not.
assignment five:
photo challenge (small)

This photo challenge, was a little bit more challenging when it came to find the "perfect" photographs of what I wanted to do. In this world, we are small, so how would we incorporate small into a photograph? Being small means so many things; size, amount of things, and much more. I thought that meant doing things that were small when looking from the naked eye. What I liked about this assignment was how we really had to look at the images we were taking a picture of and try and figure out how to best make them the primary object while still being small.
assignment six:
portraits

While doing this photoshoot, I quickly realized that I would have a lot of fun. During the summer, I took senior pictures for my friend, Megan, so it just allowed us to have more opportunity to take even more photos for her to look at. I didn't send in any of these photos because I thought that those would be more special instead of using it as part of my assignment,
assignment seven:
art recreation

Out of all of the assignments that we have done over the course of the semester, I found this to be the hardest of all. I looked for hours trying to find the art piece that I looked most alike while seeing what I had. I couldn't put all of it together without my moms help and numerous times of trying to get the objects in the right place before they fell off my head. What I liked about his assignment was it gave me a chance to go through my closet before I moved out to get rid of some things.
assignment eight:
i wonder

I thought the I wonder was one of the funnest shoots we went on all semester because we had the ability to do whatever we wanted to do with our photos. It was out assignment completely ours and how we chose to do it. Out of all of the subjects I could have chose, I think I chose one of the harder ones because it takes so much time and so many tries to get a good picture of a dog. In fact, I am pretty sure I had over 100 pictures of the same shot so I could have a decent one to use. Throughout quarantine, I have grown to be so close with these three dogs, the german shepard being mine, and the other two my friend Megan has. But, two of the dogs are getting to be extremely old and it can be hard to do things with so I have been so grateful to have the chance to spend so much time with these wonderful animals.
assignment nine:
flashback

Although, this was the last assignment it was some of the first memories we've had as people. I thought this assignment was fun because it gave us a chance to go through old photos and see what we wanted to recreate. My mom loves taking photos so she has hundreds for me to go through. While picking only two photos to recreate I wanted to do the fun ones. Some challenges I faced throughout this assignment was trying not to show skin in the bath tub one while attempting to make the same face and everything to go along with it. As for hanging in the tree, a challenge I faced was trying to find my inner "monkey" again as well as positioning myself correctly. I believe that my recreations of both of these photos were relatively accurate because these photos are more than ten years older since I took them last.
